3-Day safari at Tshukudu Lodge

On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, our clients will take a short 45-minute flight to Eastgate Airport ( Hoedspruit). One of our guides will be waiting to pick them up at Eastgate Airport. Check in time is at 14:00pm and clients who arrive early will have lunch in the dining hall at the main camp. After check in time, guests will rest from the long journey until dinner at 18:00pm. During the resting hours, guests can use the swimming pool or book a spa service. Dinner will be served from 18:00pm in the boma (if the weather allows it) or in the main dinning hall.

Day 2: Game drive at Tshukudu Game Lodge

Game drive at Tshukudu Game Lodge Early morning game drive at Tshukudu Game Reserve. The morning safaris usually last two hours. Guests are advised to wake up around 5.00am and to be at the reception area around 5:30am to have coffee and rusks while waiting for a game drive to start. It is advisable to put on warm clothes in the early morning game drives. Guests will have the opportunity to see the big five like Elephants, Lions, Rhinos, Leopards and rhinos. After the morning safari, guests will have breakfast and lunch in the dining hall. The swimming pool is available for use during the spare time. Guests can book a spa or visit a curio shop. The afternoon safari starts at 15:00pm and lasts about three hours. Then there is dinner in the boma. Day 3: Morning Game drive and check out

On the last day, there will be a morning game drive. This third game drive will give guests the opportunity to see some of the animals they have missed during their previous game drives. Some wild animals like leopards may be quite elusive. After the two-hour game drive, guests will have breakfast in the dining hall. Check out is at 11.00am. One of our guides will drive the guests to Eastgate Airport on their way to Johannesburg International Airport.

What are the requirements for travelling to South Africa?

Travelling to South Africa with children can be confusing. Some few years ago, the South African government required a couple of documents for children to travel with their parents or guardians

A valid passport for the parents/guardians and children
A full birth certificate (original or photocopy of original) if travelling with both parents
If travelling with one parent there is additional documentation , parent consent affidavit not longer than four months and a letter from parents signed by the authorities in case of a guardian

Due to the difficulty in getting some of these documents and the inconvenience it created, the South African government does not require some of these documents anymore. A passport is the only requirement left. However it is advisable to carry your children’s birth certificates with you .

Do you need travel insurance?

It is always advisable to have travel insurance whenever travelling outside Europe and the United States. This will keep you at ease in case something happens. A travel insurance that covers medical situations during your period in South Africa will make your safari smooth sailing. However this is not compulsory, it’s just advisable.

Do you need any vaccines to travel to South Africa?

There are no compulsory vaccines to travel to South Africa if you are coming from Europe or the United States. However you may want to get vaccines against COVID and the other day to day vaccines we take throughout our lives.
