AM Lodge luxurious 4-day safari in Hoedspruit

Guests arrive at Johannesburg International Airport, for a short flight transfer to Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit. They will then be driven to AM Lodge in one of our safari vehicles. At the lodge, depending on the time of arrival, guests will have lunch and check-in is at 14:00 pm. Guests have an option to rest at the lodge where they can use all amenities like swimming pools, gyms and spa. Alternatively, they can go for a late afternoon game drive if they are not tired.

Day 2: Game drives at Klaserie Private Nature Reserve

Game drives at Klaserie Private Nature Reserve Guests will partake in early morning and late afternoon game drives. They have also options for a safari walk and bird watching. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be taken at the lodge. Guests are free to use all the amenities at the lodge and can book a bush spa if they want one. Day 3: Safari in the Kruger National Park

Guests will have the opportunity to spend the whole day in the Kruger National Park. Kruger National Park, located in South Africa, is one of the world’s most renowned and iconic game reserves. Offering an unparalleled safari experience, it spans over 19,000 square kilometers and is home to an astonishing array of wildlife species, including the famed Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). Game drives in Kruger National Park provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the vast wilderness and encounter the incredible diversity of flora and fauna that call this park home. Led by experienced and knowledgeable guides, these drives take you on an exhilarating journey through the park’s diverse landscapes, ranging from open plains to dense bushveld and riverine areas.

Day 4: Early morning game drive and departure from Am Lodge

Guests will go for an early morning game drive before having breakfast at the Lodge. Check-out is at 11:00 am. A road transfer will take guests to Eastgate Airport for their departure to Johan International Airport.

What are the requirements for travelling to South Africa?

Travelling to South Africa with children can be confusing. Some few years ago, the South African government required a couple of documents for children to travel with their parents or guardians

A valid passport for the parents/guardians and children
A full birth certificate (original or photocopy of original) if travelling with both parents
If travelling with one parent there is additional documentation , parent consent affidavit not longer than four months and a letter from parents signed by the authorities in case of a guardian

Due to the difficulty in getting some of these documents and the inconvenience it created, the South African government does not require some of these documents anymore. A passport is the only requirement left. However it is advisable to carry your children’s birth certificates with you .

Do you need travel insurance?

It is always advisable to have travel insurance whenever travelling outside Europe and the United States. This will keep you at ease in case something happens. A travel insurance that covers medical situations during your period in South Africa will make your safari smooth sailing. However this is not compulsory, it’s just advisable.

Do you need any vaccines to travel to South Africa?

There are no compulsory vaccines to travel to South Africa if you are coming from Europe or the United States. However you may want to get vaccines against COVID and the other day to day vaccines we take throughout our lives.
