Today, we set off toward Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of Africa. Our first stop is Betty’s Bay to visit its charming penguin colony, followed by a visit to Hermanus, famed for land-based whale watching. Explore local markets and enjoy lunch here (own expense). We continue to Struisbaai/Cape Agulhas to visit the iconic lighthouse with panoramic views of the oceans. Tonight, we rest at the cozy Mermaid Guest House. Dinner is included, offering a perfect end to a scenic day.
After breakfast, we leave the southern coast behind and head to Buffelsdrift Game Lodge near Oudtshoorn. This 4-star lodge offers a unique safari setting and luxurious tented chalets. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to relax before heading out on a 3-hour afternoon game drive in an open-air vehicle. Spot lions, rhinos, elephants, antelopes, and more with expert guidance. Return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner and unwind under the African sky.
Our final day begins with an early morning game drive—your chance to see wildlife in the crisp morning air. Afterward, enjoy breakfast before we journey back to Cape Town via the scenic Route 62, known as the world’s longest wine route. Along the way, we’ll stop for wine tasting and admire the stunning landscapes, towering cliffs, and charming wine towns. Arrival in Cape Town is expected between 5 and 6 PM, with drop-off at your selected accommodation.
