A private Kruger day shaped around you
Leave Hoedspruit behind for a full day among Kruger National Park’s open grasslands, thorn trees and wildlife-rich plains. This private safari takes you through Orpen Gate towards Satara, with a dedicated guide and a vehicle reserved exclusively for your party. Rather than fitting into a shared group’s schedule, spend time on the sightings that matter to you.
Explore the Orpen–Satara wildlife region
Satara’s surrounding grasslands attract grazing herds and the predators that follow them. Search for lions, watch elephants moving through the bush, or linger over giraffes, zebras and the region’s varied birdlife. Your guide adapts the route to conditions and recent sightings, sharing the stories behind the animals and their habitat. Wildlife lives freely here, so no species or sighting is guaranteed.
Time for photographs, coffee and the sounds of the bush
A private vehicle gives you room to follow your interests: patient big-cat watching, bird identification or a slower, photography-focused day. A mid-morning pause includes complimentary tea, coffee and drinking water at a permitted stopping place. At Satara Rest Camp, take a lunch break before returning to the park’s roads for an afternoon of exploration. Lunch is purchased at your own expense.
Hoedspruit pickup and flexible return
Choose your preferred pickup time from Hoedspruit or a nearby lodge when arranging your safari. Timing is agreed in advance and remains subject to park opening hours, your pickup location and driving distances. Return to your accommodation is usually between 4:30 and 5:30 pm, with the day’s pace discussed with your guide.
Private safari price
US$265 per person sharing the private vehicle with another paying adult. A solo traveller pays US$530 for the private safari. No overnight accommodation is included. Lunch is at your own expense. Please confirm park conservation fee arrangements with us before booking.
