Fifteen days from Atlantic shores to the Zambezi
Begin with four nights in Cape Town, where mountain views, coastal roads and wine estates set the scene. Discover Soweto from Johannesburg, then settle into Kapama River Lodge for three nights of private-reserve safaris. Finish with four nights at The Victoria Falls Hotel, a Zambezi sunset cruise, a guided Falls visit and a full-day excursion to Chobe in Botswana.
Luxury stays with a clearly defined price
US$9,600 per person sharing; US$13,440 for a solo traveller under our standard supplement. Fourteen nights, itinerary ground transfers, listed activities, conservation fees and specified meals are included. The Johannesburg–Victoria Falls flight is included. Your Cape Town–Johannesburg flight and departing Victoria Falls flight are extra; arrange the former around the Day 5 Robben Island programme.
Cape Town and the stories of Soweto
A half-day city outing takes in Table Mountain and the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap, with time to explore independently afterwards. Follow the Peninsula to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, visit the Boulders penguins and Kirstenbosch, and finish at the Waterfront. A half-day wine excursion and a Robben Island visit complete your Cape Town stay. Cableway and ferry departures depend on weather and operations; final timings are coordinated with your flight. In Soweto, visit the planned Hector Pieterson Museum, Regina Mundi Church and Mandela and Tutu landmarks, with a traditional lunch included. Access and routing may vary.
Six drives from Kapama River Lodge
Travel by road from Johannesburg to Kapama Private Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger region. An arrival-afternoon drive, morning and afternoon drives on each of the next two days, and a farewell sunrise drive make six scheduled outings. These safaris take place in Kapama, not inside Kruger National Park. Guides interpret the reserve’s wildlife and habitats without promising particular sightings. Between drives, enjoy the lodge pool or reserve a spa treatment at extra cost. Meals on Days 7–9 are included; drinks beyond the expressly listed cruise refreshments are confirmed separately.
Victoria Falls with a Chobe wildlife day
After your final Kapama drive, return by road to Johannesburg for a hotel night. Fly to Victoria Falls the following day and check into The Victoria Falls Hotel. The Zambezi sunset cruise includes the described refreshments, canapés and dinner. On Day 12, cross through Kazungula for a Chobe River cruise, riverside lunch and a national-park game drive. Return to your Victoria Falls base that evening; the day’s order and return time depend on border and road conditions. Day 13 is free, followed by a guided Zimbabwe-side Falls rainforest walk on Day 14. Optional helicopter flights, spa visits and adventure activities are additional.
Your accommodation and meal plan
Stay four nights in a confirmed four- or five-star Cape Town hotel, three nights in a confirmed four- or five-star Johannesburg hotel, three at Kapama River Lodge and four at The Victoria Falls Hotel. City properties and room categories are confirmed before booking; no suite upgrade or specific city hotel is promised. Breakfast is included on Days 2–15, lunch on Days 6–9 and 12, and dinner on Days 7–9 and 11. The Day 10 Johannesburg dinner is at your own expense. Other meals, personal purchases, gratuities, visas and insurance are extra.
Travel arrangements
Bring valid passports and arrange any Botswana entry and Zimbabwe re-entry permissions needed for Chobe.
