Two wildlife landscapes, linked by air
Begin with two nights at Kapama River Lodge in the Greater Kruger region, then fly back to Johannesburg and travel by private shuttle to Ivory Tree Game Lodge in Pilanesberg for two more nights. This five-day safari brings together private-reserve wildlife viewing and an ancient volcanic landscape without a long overland journey between them.
US$4,500 per person sharing; US$6,300 for a solo traveller with the standard 40% supplement. Your Johannesburg–Hoedspruit return flights, four lodge nights, itinerary transfers, eight open-vehicle safaris, final closed-vehicle viewing and listed meals are included.
Kapama first: four private-reserve safaris
Fly from OR Tambo to Hoedspruit Eastgate and meet your driver for the lodge transfer. An afternoon drive on arrival, morning and afternoon outings on Day 2, and a farewell sunrise drive on Day 3 make four Kapama safaris. Guides and trackers interpret wildlife movements as the light changes.
Kapama is a separate private game reserve near Greater Kruger, not inside Kruger National Park. This programme does not include a Kruger National Park drive. Particular wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
Ivory Tree: volcanic hills and lodge leisure
After your return flight, a private shuttle takes you from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg. Your arrival-afternoon safari is planned around flight and road timings. Day 4 includes sunrise and sunset drives with breakfast, lunch and relaxation between them. A final sunrise safari and closed-vehicle outing on Day 5 complete the wildlife programme.
Enjoy Ivory Tree’s pool and lodge spaces or book spa treatments and optional activities at your expense. Room categories, lodge availability and flight schedules are confirmed before travel. Children under six cannot join Ivory Tree game drives; families should contact us about lodge arrangements.
Included flights and clearly separated park fees
Included meals are breakfast on Days 2–5, lunch on Days 1, 2 and 4, and dinner on Days 1–4. Day 3 lunch and Day 5 lunch are not listed and are extra. Drinks are included only if expressly confirmed in your booking; spa treatments, optional activities, gratuities and personal purchases are extra.
Kapama conservation fees for the listed programme are included. Daily Pilanesberg entrance fees are excluded and payable at the gate. Supplied indicative rates are R500 per international visitor, R275 for SADC nationals and R168 for South African residents, subject to change. Flights to or from Johannesburg outside the included Hoedspruit return legs are extra.
All times are approximate. Day 3 flight connections must allow time for the Pilanesberg transfer; the afternoon safari depends on the confirmed schedule. Day 5 airport drop-off must be coordinated with your flight, rather than relying on a guaranteed 18:00 arrival.
