A colourful lodge base for five days of discovery
Enjoy a varied Greater Kruger escape without moving accommodation every night. Timbavati Safari Lodge is your base for four nights, with en-suite, air-conditioned accommodation decorated in distinctive Ndebele-inspired colours and patterns. The lodge lies near Orpen Gate, outside Kruger National Park; despite its name, this package is not a stay inside Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.
Two full-day Kruger safaris give you time to explore different habitats, while a sunset drive in Moditlo Game Reserve introduces the bush on your first afternoon. Between wildlife days, the Panorama Route adds canyon views, waterfall stops and historic Lowveld scenery.
Wildlife days with a scenic interlude
Head into Kruger in an open safari vehicle with your guide, watching for elephants, buffalo, giraffes and predators as the landscape changes around you. Each day follows wildlife activity and park conditions; Big Five sightings cannot be guaranteed.
The Panorama excursion visits highlights around Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window, with possible stops at Pinnacle Rock, Wonder View, waterfalls and Pilgrim’s Rest. Stops depend on weather and available time, with lunch at your own expense in the Graskop area.
Comfort and value, without camping
Return each evening to your lodge room and an included dinner. Breakfasts are included, with their timing or packed arrangements confirmed for early safari departures. Lunches, additional brunch purchases and beverages are extra. This is a budget-friendly lodge safari, not a camping tour.
US$1,670 per person sharing; US$2,338 for a solo traveller. Return shared shuttle transfers from OR Tambo, four lodge nights, breakfasts and dinners, the scheduled sunset drive, two full-day Kruger drives and the Panorama excursion form the package. Park entrance and conservation-fee arrangements will be confirmed with your quotation rather than assumed included.
An optional morning safari on Day 5 can be requested at additional cost, subject to availability and the return shuttle timetable. Do not book onward flights until your airport arrival time has been confirmed.
