Six days of tracks, riverbanks and fireside evenings

Step beyond the usual game-drive routine on a budget-friendly journey that combines two full days in Kruger National Park with guided bushwalks and late-afternoon reserve drives. Begin with one night at Tremisana Game Lodge in Balule, then settle into Marc’s Camp in Motlala Reserve for four nights surrounded by the sounds of the bush.

This is a sociable, shared safari with simple camp comfort rather than luxury-hotel styling. The supplied programme uses Marc’s Camp, also known for its treehouse accommodation; the exact room or tent category is confirmed when booking, rather than promising the same accommodation style for every night.

Explore on foot and by open vehicle

A guided walk along the Olifants River introduces tracks, plants and smaller details that are easy to overlook from a vehicle. A second morning walk in Motlala rounds off the experience. Qualified guides manage these activities according to conditions and safety requirements.

Open-vehicle drives in the surrounding reserves complement your two full-day Kruger safaris. Follow wildlife activity with your guide, looking for elephants, buffalo, predators and birdlife without any guarantee of particular sightings. Between safari days, visit Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre to learn about its rehabilitation and conservation work; this is an educational centre visit, not a wild-animal encounter in the park.

A scenic farewell

On the return journey, a stop at the Three Rondavels reveals Blyde River Canyon from above, subject to route conditions and available time. This is a Panorama Route highlight rather than a separate full-day Panorama tour.

What your budget includes

US$1,450 per person sharing; US$2,030 for a solo traveller. The package includes shared return air-conditioned road transfers from Johannesburg, five nights, scheduled drives and walks, Moholoholo, meals as specified and Kruger entrance and conservation fees. Drinks, gratuities and personal purchases are extra.

Collection is arranged from OR Tambo or a pre-arranged Johannesburg or Pretoria hotel, with the precise meeting time confirmed before travel. Return arrival is expected from around 17:00, depending on traffic and the day’s programme. For onward flights, allow departure no earlier than 19:30 for domestic services or 21:00 for international services, and confirm the connection with us before booking.
