What’s a Safari Day Like?

Blog

Now that you are starting to plan your safari, you might wonder, “What do you do on a safari day?” Well, in this post, we would like to give you an idea of what a day on safari with Knap Tours would be like.

It should be noted that no two days will ever be the same, as you will not always see and do the same things. However, let’s start our day!

Good morning!

We will begin with a refreshing early start around 5:00 am/5:30 am to prepare for our day. After enjoying a delicious tea or coffee with Rusks, a traditional South African pastry, we head out for our first safari. Although you might feel a bit hesitant to get up early, we assure you that you won’t regret it.

First safari – At 6:00 am, we embark on our adventure through the African savannah. For two hours, we will marvel at dozens of animals and even encounter the Big Five. The privilege of traveling through the savannah at dawn is an experience that few have. Making this early start more than worthwhile.

At around 8:00 a.m., we will stop for a delicious breakfast that will rejuvenate us for the day ahead.

Second Activity of the Safari

We continue with another activity, which could be either another safari or a cultural visit, such as the Nyani village. Here, we immerse ourselves in the way of life, traditions, dances, and gastronomy of the tribes that have settled in these territories.

Returning to the hotel, we savor the wonderful food prepared for us. Afterward, you’ll have time to recharge your batteries, enjoying the spa or simply admiring the extraordinary views of the African savannah.

In the afternoon, at 15:00, we set off for the last adventure of the day, another Game Drive. If we were fortunate to witness the sunrise in the morning. Now we’ll be captivated by one of the most impressive sunsets of our lives.

During this savannah tour, we’ll observe birds, mammals, reptiles and vegetation. All with the assistance of an experienced guide ensuring we don’t miss any details of the Wild.

At 18:00 we return to the lodge for dinner at the campfire. Where we can share our impressions of the day’s safari with our companions.

After dinner we will have a rest. As the next day will be a new adventure in which we will continue to get to know the richness of this land.

This is just an example of a safari day, others can be spent visiting the Kruger National Park, visiting places like Panorama Tour… An endless number of activities that will make your trip the one you have always dreamed of or even better.
