Wildlife viewing beyond the game vehicle
Spend two nights at Tau Game Lodge, where a permanent waterhole creates a natural focus for time at the lodge. Watch the changing activity from the deck between four ranger-led open safaris, then retreat to your comfortable chalet when you want a quieter moment.
Madikwe Game Reserve lies near Botswana, where dry Kalahari thornveld meets greener Lowveld vegetation. This malaria-free landscape supports the Big Five, African wild dogs and abundant birdlife. Your guide follows wildlife movements and tracks; no animal sighting is guaranteed, either on safari or at the waterhole.
A lodge stay with room to slow down
Tau’s African-inspired interiors, garden spaces and pool provide a relaxed base. Enjoy breakfast and lodge leisure after a sunrise safari, with lunch and afternoon tea before the next outing. Spa treatments are optional extras, and outdoor dining arrangements depend on weather and lodge planning.
Children are welcome at Tau, but those under six cannot join the standard open-vehicle safaris. Contact us before booking younger guests: Cubz Club and special children’s drives require advance arrangements and may involve additional charges.
