A welcoming farmhouse with a wildlife window
The Bush House brings a homely lodge atmosphere to malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Stay three nights in a luxury room, with comfortable lounges, a wide lawn and a pool for between-safari relaxation. Its underground waterhole hide offers a distinctive low-angle perspective for watching and photographing visiting animals.
Six ranger-led open safaris complement time at the hide. Madikwe supports the Big Five and African wild dogs, but neither particular sightings nor wildlife at the waterhole are guaranteed. Hide access and outdoor dining follow lodge arrangements and conditions.
Family stays and safari eligibility
Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge, but children aged six and younger cannot join the daily open-vehicle safaris. Lodge safari vehicles are shared unless exclusive arrangements are confirmed.
Your four-day programme and price
US$3,220 per person sharing; US$4,508 solo with the standard 40% supplement. Includes two lodge nights, six open safaris, Johannesburg/Pretoria return transfers, listed meals, Wi-Fi and entrance/conservation fees. All beverages, gratuities and personal expenses are excluded. Arrival and Day 2 lunch are not specified in the supplied itinerary and must be confirmed. Drinks mentioned during tea or coffee stops are not included in the price.
