A waterhole sets the pace
Make Tau Game Lodge your base for four nights in malaria-free Madikwe. A permanent waterhole draws animals and birds into view from the lodge’s wooden deck, so time between safaris can be as rewarding as time on the tracks. Settle into comfortable lodge accommodation, enjoy the pool area and watch the bush change through the day.
Eight outings across two landscapes
Madikwe sits between arid Kalahari country and greener bushveld, supporting a varied mix of wildlife. Your ranger-led programme includes eight approximately three-hour open-vehicle drives: an afternoon outing on arrival, morning and afternoon safaris on three full days, and a final sunrise drive. Look for the Big Five, African wild dogs and birdlife without any guarantee of particular sightings. Drives are shared with other lodge guests unless an exclusive vehicle is separately confirmed.
From city pickup to lodge leisure
Travel by luxury air-conditioned vehicle from your preferred Johannesburg or Pretoria pickup address, with departure around 07:00. Allow roughly 4.5 hours from Johannesburg, subject to traffic. Between drives, relax on the deck or in your air-conditioned accommodation, with the listed lodge meals included.
