Two nights beneath the tamboti trees
Escape to Black Rhino Game Lodge on the western side of Greater Pilanesberg for three days of guided wildlife viewing and quiet lodge time. Set in a grove of tamboti trees, this thatched retreat combines comfortable suites, shaded relaxation areas and a waterhole that can draw wildlife close to the lodge.
Black Rhino Private Game Reserve forms part of the wider Pilanesberg ecosystem, allowing animals to move between the adjoining reserves. Explore this malaria-free landscape with your guides, looking for elephants, rhinos, lions and the many other species that live here. Big Five sightings are possible, never guaranteed.
Your lodge base in Greater Pilanesberg
Enjoy an air-conditioned suite with an ensuite bathroom, outdoor shower and a patio for relaxing between outings. Spend the warmer hours around the lodge’s plunge pools or in its lounge and dining areas. Dinners may be served on the deck or in the boma, depending on weather and lodge arrangements. Accommodation is subject to availability.
Four lodge safaris and wildlife along the way
Travel from Johannesburg in an air-conditioned vehicle, with open-vehicle wildlife viewing arranged on arrival before reaching the lodge around midday. After lunch, head out on the first of four approximately three-hour lodge safaris. Day 2 includes sunrise and afternoon drives, and Day 3 brings a final sunrise safari.
These four scheduled lodge drives provide approximately twelve hours of guided open-vehicle game viewing. Arrival viewing is additional; its duration depends on transfer and lodge arrangements. Closed-vehicle wildlife viewing is included during departure as arranged. An extra open-vehicle safari with a private return transfer is an optional, separately priced upgrade, not part of the package.
