A short safari through Pilanesberg’s bushveld
Join fellow travellers in an open safari vehicle for approximately three hours of wildlife viewing in Pilanesberg. With a certified wildlife guide leading the way, discover a landscape of bushveld, rocky hills and open grazing areas without committing to a full-day excursion.
Watch for elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras and antelope, and keep an eye out for lions, leopards and buffalo. Your guide explains the park’s wildlife and habitats as sightings unfold. Animals roam freely, so Big Five sightings are not guaranteed.
Morning or sunset departure
Choose a sunrise drive around 05:30–08:30, a mid-morning outing around 09:00–12:00 or a sunset safari around 16:00–19:00. These are approximate slots, subject to availability, season and operating arrangements.
Meet at Sun City Resort or Bakubung Gate as confirmed for your booking. The outing returns to the agreed departure point. No Johannesburg transfer or hotel collection outside these departure arrangements is included.
Shared price and solo bookings
US$140 per person sharing; US$196 for a single traveller with the standard 40% solo supplement. Both shared groups and solo travellers may book online. The vehicle is shared with other guests, not reserved exclusively for your party.
Your guided three-hour drive and bottled water are included. Sun City day-visitor entrance charges and Pilanesberg conservation fees are paid separately. Supplied daily park rates are R500 for international visitors, R275 for SADC nationals and R168 for South African residents, per person, subject to change. Confirm current charges before travel.
