Pilanesberg after dark
Discover a different side of the bush on a short evening safari from Sun City. As daylight fades, an open safari vehicle takes you through Pilanesberg with a qualified guide, searching for wildlife that is often harder to observe during the day.
Watch for hyenas, owls, civets and, with luck, a leopard. Your guide uses spotlights responsibly and explains the behaviour of the animals encountered along the way. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
A three-hour night drive with local transfers
We collect you from Sun City or a nearby hotel or lodge and transfer you to Bakubung Gate. Join an approximately three-hour open-vehicle night safari, then return to the gate for your transfer back to your accommodation. Pickup and departure times are confirmed for your date and may vary with seasonal and park operating arrangements.
Price and booking
US$150 per person sharing. A minimum of two travellers is required; solo bookings are not available. This half-day outing includes the guided night drive and local pickup and return transfers, not an overnight stay.
Park entrance fees are payable separately at the gate. The supplied daily rates are R500 for international visitors, R275 for SADC nationals and R168 for South African residents; fees may change, so confirm current charges and identification requirements before travel.
