Three days of wildlife, with a chalet to come home to
Leave the city behind for Pilanesberg’s volcanic hills, open grasslands and wildlife-rich bushveld. This shared safari balances guided exploration with two nights in a thatched chalet at Manyane Resort or Bakgatla Resort. Your resort is confirmed subject to availability; both offer a comfortable base between outings rather than a tented camping stay.
Watch for elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras and the park’s predators as your guide helps you read the landscape. Pilanesberg is home to the Big Five, but sightings depend on wildlife movements and can never be guaranteed.
From the first morning drive to the last sunrise
After an early Johannesburg or Pretoria pickup, begin exploring in the closed transfer vehicle before lunch at Pilanesberg Centre and chalet check-in. An open-vehicle afternoon safari introduces the park from a different perspective. Day 2 brings sunrise and afternoon open-vehicle drives, with breakfast and a relaxed resort break between them. A final sunrise outing on Day 3 rounds off four open-vehicle safaris, each lasting approximately 2½–3 hours.
There is also a guided closed-vehicle drive on arrival and wildlife viewing from the transfer vehicle as you leave the park. All times are approximate and may shift with traffic, the season and animal sightings.
