Five safari outings, two nights to unwind
Spend three days exploring Pilanesberg’s volcanic landscapes and return between drives to five-star Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge. This escape combines five guided open-vehicle safaris with generous time for lodge meals, poolside relaxation and the quiet of the bushveld.
In this malaria-free reserve, guides search for elephants, rhinos, lions and the many other species that share its hills and grasslands. The Big Five live here, but encounters depend on animal movements and no sighting is guaranteed.
Your Shepherd’s Tree stay
Settle into the lodge for two nights, with breakfast, lunch and dinner as listed in the itinerary and afternoon high tea on Day 2. Enjoy the lodge facilities during the warmest part of the day, or arrange a spa treatment at your own expense. Boma dining depends on weather and lodge arrangements. Accommodation is subject to availability.
Sunrise, sunset and a flexible final afternoon
Begin with a morning open-vehicle drive on arrival, followed by lunch and lodge check-in. A sunset outing completes Day 1. Day 2 brings both sunrise and sunset safaris, while Day 3 starts with your fifth open-vehicle drive. Each outing lasts approximately three hours, giving around fifteen hours of guided open-vehicle game viewing.
On the final day, choose an included optional closed-vehicle drive or remain at the lodge until collection. Quadbiking, spa treatments and bush walks are optional extras, subject to availability and your departure schedule. Bush walks are for guests aged sixteen and above.
