A resort break with two wildlife adventures
Stay for two nights at Sun City Hotel and combine resort leisure with guided safaris in neighbouring Pilanesberg National Park. This three-day journey brings together Valley of Waves entry, a sunset wildlife outing and a final morning safari, with return Johannesburg transfers arranged for you.
Sun City Hotel is your accommodation base, not the Palace, Cascades or Cabanas. Settle into your hotel room and explore the resort between excursions. Breakfast is included each morning; lunches, dinners and drinks are at your own expense.
From Valley of Waves to the bushveld
Your first afternoon is free to relax after arrival and hotel check-in. Day 2 starts with breakfast and time at Valley of Waves, followed by an afternoon departure for a sunset safari in Pilanesberg. On Day 3, an approximately three-hour sunrise outing offers another chance to explore the reserve before breakfast and the return journey.
Pilanesberg’s volcanic hills and varied habitats support elephants, rhinos, lions and many other species. The Big Five live here, but wildlife encounters depend on animal movements and no sighting is guaranteed. Safari and water-park arrangements are subject to operating schedules.
Price and inclusions
US$1,275 per person sharing; US$1,785 for a solo traveller with the standard 40% supplement. Two Sun City Hotel nights, two breakfasts, Valley of Waves entry, the Day 2 sunset safari, the Day 3 morning safari and transfers throughout the itinerary are included.
Lunches, dinners, beverages, gratuities, personal purchases and Pilanesberg entrance fees are excluded. Supplied gate fees are R500 for international visitors, R275 for SADC nationals and R168 for South African residents, subject to change; confirm the current amount and charging basis before departure.
Optional extras and travel timing
An additional sunset safari on Day 1 is optional, not included; the supplied indicative price is R800 per person and must be confirmed for your dates. Accommodation is subject to availability. All times are approximate, and OR Tambo pickup and return must be coordinated against your flight details.
