Three lodge nights with the reserve on your doorstep
Spend four days exploring Pilanesberg from five-star Ivory Tree Game Lodge. Seven guided open-vehicle safaris give you time to experience the reserve at sunrise and sunset, while three lodge nights leave space for poolside relaxation, leisurely meals and afternoon high tea.
The lodge sits in a natural amphitheatre among Pilanesberg’s volcanic hills. This malaria-free reserve supports elephants, rhinos, lions and many other species across woodland and grassland. Guides follow the conditions on the day; Big Five sightings are never guaranteed.
A safari rhythm with time to unwind
Begin with a morning drive, lunch and lodge arrival before your first sunset safari. Days 2 and 3 each include a sunrise outing, breakfast, lunch, high tea and another afternoon drive. The final morning safari on Day 4 completes seven approximately three-hour open-vehicle outings.
Enjoy the pool and lodge spaces between drives or arrange treatments at the Amani African Spa at your expense. Archery, quadbiking, drumming and other optional activities are separately charged and subject to availability. Boma dining depends on weather and lodge arrangements.
Price and included services
US$2,100 per person sharing; US$2,940 for a solo traveller with the standard 40% supplement. Includes return air-conditioned Johannesburg or OR Tambo transfers by arrangement, three Ivory Tree nights, seven open safaris, one optional closed-vehicle drive, three breakfasts, three lunches, three dinners, two high teas and the conservation fee.
Beverages, personal purchases, gratuities, spa treatments and additional activities are extra. A separate private three-hour safari extension is not included: the supplied indicative R1,500 per person and its transfer arrangements require confirmation.
Children under six cannot join game drives. Family activities, babysitting and accessible accommodation or vehicle arrangements must be requested in advance and confirmed with the lodge. Accommodation and timings are subject to availability.
Standard departure is around 15:00, with expected Johannesburg arrival around 17:30–18:30 depending on traffic. Share flight details before arranging airport drop-off.
